It's not in the DSM IV
I'm having Quilt Anxiety, or Color-Combo Disorder, or something, over this Bento Box quilt. I've been looking at pictures on Flickr of other Bento Box quilts, and it's quite clear that there's no way this thing is going to look even remotely like them. I have a number of fabrics, but the general colors are red, black, green and white (or cream), and I just can't visualize how they will all work together. I've started mixing around the blocks I've completed thus far, and they just look like I put some random shit together. Frankly, I'm not sure how people come to the final pattern on quilts like this anyway. There's entirely too much left to the quilter (i.e., me) to decide - and at this stage I'd really prefer to be dictated to more: put color A here, put color B there. I can't handle the responsibility of making these decisions on my own. I need a supervisor.

Girl, have a cocktail and sew that baby up!! It's supposed to be a "scrappy" quilt right? Those are always best when you don't try to over think it. It's gonna be awesome and completely YOURS so who cares if it looks like the ones on flicker!!

LOL I TOTALLY know what you are feeling!! I look at other quilts and just don't get it when I put my fabrics into the equation!
I am sure yours will be greatly cherished no matter what your thoughts of it are! LOL
Good luck!

Oh, I thought my Bento Box with the Kaffe Fasset fabrics was the ugliest thing I'd ever made...and then when I got it all together, it somehow seemed to work. If there's a theme, it'll come together.
Post a photo of it so we can help you out! I bet it's not as bad as it seems...
Color combo does take a bit of time to somewhat succeed at, so be patient, it will come! Honest!
Oops! Sorry! I found photos in an earlier post... That's what happens when you read backwards... Duh!
Have you tried mixing the 4 sections to a block all up a bit, instead of same with same? That may help you to change your opinion...
