need sleep...can't snark
I have been trying to get to this post all day, and now that I have a free moment I can barely keep my eyes open. So, sorry so bland, but here's a pic of a quilt top I made with my 5-year-old daughter this week. We plotted out the arrangement of the squares on graph paper and she was in charge of putting everything in the right order and creating stacks of squares for me to sew. She did a perfect job. It's about 50x50, and I'm still trying to decide if it needs a border, and if so, what color.

ReplyDeleteBorder or no border it's gorgeous!! You've got a pretty clever 5 year old helping you too :o)!! If it was me I'd probably do a 1/2" red sashing and a green border. Just a thought ;o).

ReplyDeleteThe quilt looks lovely but if you want to make it a bit bigger, try a yellow border or a green one...better still, a small green border with a wider yellow one. Don't you just love when others give you more work ..LOL
I am sure it will be lovely no matter how you finish it!

Ohhh pretty! Keep encouraging her, you may have a future quilter there. Boarder, if you have enough I think the center floral purple would be nice, kind of finishes off while repeating the center colors.
