Wanna drink and look at quilts?

Any readers out there in the Maryland area going to the Annapolis Quilt Guild quilt show on June 12/13? I'd love to meet some of my friends out there in blogland, and we could maybe hit up one of the local restaurants after and do major damage to our cardiovascular systems.

Anybody interested can email me at dontdrinkandquilt at gmail dot com or at my regular email if that's what you already use.

Hope to see you there!

  1. Let me know if you are ever in the Omaha NE or Des Moines IA area. I would LOVE to meet you and do some damage to my remaining brain cells with a few drinks. I love reading your posts...they make me laugh even when I'm having the worst days possible at work.

  2. Well heck girl, almost wish I were going now! Everything looks so much better with a little liquor on board.

  4. Gosh, that sounds like fun - but I'm in Nashville with no trips anticipated up your way in the near future! Look me up if you ever come this way!

  5. Step away from the martini....Next weekend's (June 4-6) quilt show is Quilters Unlimited at the Dulles Expo Center in Chantilly, VA. It's a great show (600 quilts), you should go. The Annapolis show is June 12-13. I've never been to that show. I was thinking about going this year, just not sure I want to drive an hour for a small show.

I would love to meet up with you at the quilt show, but my real life won't permit it....you know, work, financial issues, etc.

I look forward to meeting you someday!

PS - Love the QH article. Does that mean you are.....? Very exciting! :)

  8. Oh, settle down, ladies. I am NOT pregnant. My humor articles are FICTION. My mom is not like that, no art critic has ever looked at my quilts, and I am NOT reproducing.

If you think the stuff I write in that mag is true, you're gonna have a field day with the next couple of pieces!

    Well, now...

I don't believe EVERYTHING I read, but hey....announcements have been made in stranger ways and I do have a fairly active imagination.

    With my imagination, anything's possible.

    :)

  11. I'd love to, meet you and have a drink at the Annap show, but I'll be in Towson for the state special olympics. What time does the show close on Sunday, I might be back in time....and for the sale at CSG!
